The chains of lakes here create great canoe trips. Hike the Shelford Opal Bed Trail, which overlooks the town, or hunt for the gems at the nearby Eagle Creek Opal Beds. When guests tire of casting or paddling, they often challenge a fellow camper with the campground's pool table or Scrabble board. Stroll through the lovely trees and flowers on KOA's 35 acres (within walking distance of a lake), then watch the stars fill the wild northern sky. |
