Mostly shaded sites, room for slide outs, on Buttle Lake. Buttle lake is a superb location for visitors to stay while exploring the surrounding beauty of the Strathcona Corridor. Swimmers can enjoy the buoyed swimming areas in Buttle Lake. There is no life guard on duty. There is also a boat launch located near the campground. Boaters should be cautious of submerged stumps left behind when the reservoir was created. |

Follow Hwy 19 north past Courtenay to Campbell River . Then follow Hwy 28 west for 48 km. Hwy 28 passes through the northern section of the park and provides access to Buttle Lake. Gas and services are not available between Campbell River and Gold River .
