| Description : |
 |
Nestled along the beautiful Clearwater River in Orofino, Idaho. In 1805 Lewis and Clark, along with the Nez Perce Indians, stopped to make 5 dugout canoes to float to the Pacific Ocean. Story has it that the actual trees that were used for their canoes were located on the very site of this campground. |
