| Description : |
 |
Cherokee Hills strives to maintain the beauty and serenity of these surroundings. Far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this campground will both relax and inspire you. Explore the forest and you'll be likely to spot the many woodland animals that have made this area home. If you walk softly and watch carefully, you might catch a white-tail doe with her fawn or even a buck scraping his antlers. Rabbits come hopping through on their way to graze and you're also likely to see possums and those rascally raccoons at work and play. Many squirrels can be found climbing local trees that are also shared by woodpeckers, robins, cardinals, nuthatches, sparrows, quail and wrens. Hummingbirds are frequent visitors to the park's wildflowers and bird feeders. Once settled around your campfire in the evening you'll hear the calls of the whippoorwill and horned & hoot owls, the lonely wail of the coyotes and even the occasional scream of the wild bobcats. |
