We stayed at Green Acre RV Campground in Kincardine in june of 09. We've visited many campgrounds and have never encountered such unfriendly owners.
It started on our arrival where we were asked three times if we brought in firewood, which we didn't. There was no welcome,as it was our first time there.
Our lot had weeds a foot high and we were told that our mesh mat was not allowed as it would kill the grass, which there was very little of. We were baffled because there was a lot with three tents across from us which we considered more damaging to the grass than our mesh mat. There is no tying rope or anything else on the trees. We were expected to buy their wood which was wet and not fire worthy.
On our third night there while barbqueing the owner decided to cut the grass on the lot behind us and the wind had his dust blowing not only on our lot but our dinner, our picnic table and ourselves. I went over and asked him if he'd mind cutting it later because of the dust it was creating and he was extremely buligerant and told me to get back on my lot or we would be kicked out, he then ran his lawnmower through our lot and yelled to my inlaws that their 2x3 throwrug had to be picked up. He not only ruined our dinner but our entire stay... Keep in mind we were two couples with no children,no noise and were in our trailers everynight by 10:00. |
