| I used to camp at Applewhite campground years ago, and it was very nice, with ice cold streams right across the street from campground, and there was a lodge/bar/restaurant/ (very small) where you could grab a cold drink, and the campgound facilities were adequate, and my most fond memory was being awoken to a suprise late spring Snowfall, which caved in our pup tents, as we put red bricks in the campfire to stay warm,(an old indian trick)... I would highly recommend Applewhite. On the way up the canyon, on your right side, carved out of solid rock are a few really cool caves, but is not recommended to explore....Enjoy!
