I must say The Oaks Campground is the best place I've ever been to relax within the state of Michigan. I've been camping there about 15 years. Its peaceful, us annuals are nice and very welcoming to those that are staying for the weekend. There are 2 public restrooms which are cleaned daily, electricity hook ups for those without trailers, a park for the kids and activities for both parents and children every weekend. You are able to fish and swim right on site as well. Portage lake is less than a mile from the campsite too... There is also a store that sells everything you may have forgotten for your trip (bug spray, cigarettes...etc) I personally wouldn't chose anywhere else to camp...I leave The Oaks Campground fully relaxed, its great!!! I definitely recommend this campsite for any family wanting to take a break from the real world to check out the OAKS and come by and say HI!

My family and i went and tried this campground out for the 4th of July. I was impressed. They had a beautiful firework show that was probly one of the best iv ever seen. The place looked up to date and my kids had a ball. Were planning on going back again next year.
