One of the absolutely most beautiful, pieceful rv-resorts we have ever been to. The Park is wonderful next to the Suwannee River. The showers/bathrooms spotless. Ground very upkeeped. Landscaping one of a kind. The Park is now called Yellow Jacket RV-Resort.

This place is a paradise. Peaceful, quiet, lovely! One can relax on the dock without small running feet shaking the boards beneath you, or shrill squealing scaring away the fish. There aren't late night teens hanging out in the shared ares either. Not everyone wants a KOA experience (or should I say KAO-Kids All Over). The perfect place to get away from it all. The owners (this is their home!!) are gracious and helpful; they even make a person's pets feel welcome! We're going back this weekend. This resort really is beautiful. It's obvious the owners love it too. Who wouldn't?

We have stayed at the Suwannee River Hideaway for a few years to enjoy their fun Halloween event- Creepy Camping. They work hard to create a haunted woods area and kids to adults love to be scared as they venture through it. They also provide a free cook-out for the campers that weekend and many returnees bring covered dishes to add to the meal. It's a very fun time by all. Another event they provide in the spring is Camp Olympics. We hope to participate soon! This is a samll, grassy campground with lots of nature to enjoy. The long boardwalk to the Suwannee River shows you a lot of the beauty of Florida.

The campground offered $15.00 campsites (for up to a week) using Passport America. I was in a conversion van, no tent. I spoke to the owner and she said I could have a primitive site (open field, no seclusion, with electric) in the back, but only for one night on the Passport rate because I wasn’t in an “RV”. Then she said, “But on second thought because this site is for tent camping only, the Passport rate doesn’t apply and you will have to pay $20.00.” I told her what I thought of her policy and left.
