We booked into this park with our 26 foot travel trailer for Feb 2011 and stayed 5 weeks! The amenities, opportunities and friendliness were outstanding. We have since recommended it to several friends!!!

This park is listed as a "resort" which it really is. Beautiful grounds & facilities, and endless activities to choose from. People staying here were very friendly, inviting us to participate in different things. We met people who spend several months but others seem to be passing thru like at a typical RV park. We stay in the RV so don't know about renting a unit owned by the park. People who rented from absentee owners seem pretty pleased. We would recommend this park to our friends.

We booked a park-owned unit that had been used from Hurricane Katrina and was given a specific site in the park. When we checked in, we were given another site....4 lots from the garbage dumpsters and alongside a street that was in the process of having the sewer lines removed and replaced. After complaining to the office, we thought we might be moved to the originally promised site. The staff and management would not move us because we were there for only one month and would have to juggle a few new check-ins which would be too inconvenient. The TV had to be constantly fixed as the reception was not good; the pots n pans had to be replaced as the park bought junk just to throw into the unit. The door had no screen and a repairman had to make one to fit. The gas stove only had one usable element. We had to purchase a striker for it with our own money. The toilet didn't work properly and finally died the day before we left. The overhead stove fan needed fixing as there was a birds nest in it. After complaining about all these things, one would think a refund of some kind would be appropriate. They could not care less and our holiday was ruined. Every morning at 7 am we were awakened by the sound of construction until 6 pm and sometimes 7 pm. The park needed updating badly and this whole vacation left a very poor impression with us. Only good thing was that some of the residents were very nice and felt sorry for our situation.
