We have a good time no matter where we go, and I like to do research on a place before we chose a camp ground. I wasn't able to find reviews for this place, but we took a chance and went anyway. This campground would have received a much higher rating had I not been disappointed with what I was expecting, based on three telephone conversations with the proprietor prior to our arrival. This camp ground is not on the beach. It is across the street from a beach that is not really accessible, you need to drive about 4 minutes from the camp ground, or if you are young and energetic, you can walk.

The BEACH
You access the beach from behind the fisheries plant and there is nice white sand, and the view across the water is a spectacular view of North Cape windmills in PEI.

THE CAMPGROUND
The fire wood is provided for a general fire pit, there are no fire pits at the individual sites. This campground is ideally set up for rough camping. There is a great area for doing up your dishes, and in case of inclement weather, there is a nicely set up shelter. The sites for RVs are a pretty good size, and well maintained. If you have a screen house, bring it, the bugs can be quite annoying. Overall, a nice quiet campground, however we were looking for a place right on the beach.
